How to apply the SWAT-T:

1. Placement: Place the SWAT-T directly above the wound and wrap it once around the extremity so that it is securely fastened to the skin.
2. Tension: Pull the SWAT-T tightly against the extremity until the oval symbol turns into a circle.
3. Wrapping: Wrap the remaining SWAT-T around the extremity while maintaining tension.
4. Securing: Once at the end of the SWAT-T, take one wrap, form a loop, and tuck the end of the SWAT-T through this loop. The SWAT-T is now secured. Regularly check that the SWAT-T is applied tightly enough, as it may loosen during transport.
