The Emergency Bandage™ is the original product for the fastest first aid in emergencies. This bandage combines primary care, pressure dressing, secondary treatment, and secure fixation in a single product. This ensures quick first aid for traumatic injuries. Emergency Bandage™ or Israeli Bandage?

The Emergency Bandage™, literally "Emergency Bandage for Tactical Trauma Treatment," is often referred to as the "Israeli Bandage." This name comes from an Israeli paramedic who developed the bandage in the 1990s for modern operational conditions.

Applications of the Emergency Bandage™

  • Military
  • Disaster relief
  • Rescue services and medical emergency services
  • First responders and first aid kits

Advantages of the Emergency Bandage™ / Israeli Bandage

  • Fast and efficient primary and secondary care for heavily bleeding wounds
  • Suitable for use by laypersons and paramedics
  • Can be applied by the injured person themselves
  • Pressure bar replaces a separate pressure applicator and saves time
  • Absorbent wound pad, does not stick to the wound
  • Secure and controlled unrolling thanks to sewn-in thread
  • Fixation possible without additional aids
  • Significant time and cost savings

Application of the Emergency Bandage™ / Israeli Bandage

  1. Pad: Place the sterile, non-adhesive wound pad over the wound.
  2. First wrap: Wrap the first layer of bandage over the wound, thread it through the bar of the pressure applicator, and then pull it back over the wound site with the bandage.
  3. Apply pressure: The tight pull applies direct pressure to the wound pad and the wound, stopping the bleeding. The applicator acts as a pressure pad and simultaneously facilitates bandaging by securely fixing the wound pad and the first wrap.
  4. Further wraps: The additional wraps protect the wound pad and the applicator from external influences.

The Emergency Bandage™ as a Tourniquet

In many cases, the Emergency Bandage™ allows for self-application of a pressure dressing. It can also be used as a tourniquet for complete hemostasis in an absolute emergency, with just one hand. To do this, the bandage wraps must be twisted several times.

How do I identify a counterfeit?

As with most established products, there are also counterfeits of the Emergency Bandage™. These are often characterized by qualitatively inferior individual components:

  • The plastic breaks more easily
  • The bandage is less elastic
  • The adhesive bond is insufficient
